Telšių švietimo centras (Telsiai Education Centre) is the only accredited training institution in the area, providing high-quality educational services as well as psychological and special pedagogical assistance enabling the Telsiai community development and lifelong learning also providing assistance the teachers to solve parent's and children's problems.
Mission of the institution:
1. Meeting the teachers and other members of the community training and educational needs of lifelong learning;
2. Developing and implementing the adult contemporary competencies development programs and the learning enviroments as well as the learning organization culture;
3. Promoting the need for continuous learning;
4. Providing the educational institutions and community members with the timely and effective psychological and special pedagogical assistance to enable them to develop, to overcome challenges, to eliminate barriers discouraging the development and integration into society.
Role in the project:
Contribution creating a learner-friendly environment, communicating with project partners via phone, e-mail, carrying out and participating in workshops/events, taking part in the exchange of experiences, contributing to the producing the project documentation, educational curriculum and toolbox.
The institution is responsible for integrating the project into local and regional work, taking part in evaluation, dissemination, providing information to the national teaching community and producing learners' diaries.
People from vulnerable social groups, e.g. older learners, unemployed, people with few or no formal qualifications and individuals living in rural areas will be actively involved in the local activities of the project.
